A Million Plus Thirty Miles

Here I am again in this mean old town
And you’re so far away from me
And where are you when the sun goes down
You’re so far away from me
You’re so far away from me
You’re so far I just can’t see
You’re so far away from me
You’re so far away from me
                                    ~REM

Someone within touching distance can be a million miles away.

If someone is a million miles away does 30 more make a difference?

The right word can shrink a million miles to a hairs breadth while the wrong word can create a chasm and the unspoken word break a heart.

Sometimes the extra 30 miles actually brings you closer, bridges the black gap separating two hearts.

Sometimes more is said in silence than with all the words in the dictionary.
