India Week #018 – Feeling Disconnected

I have been living in India for four months now and all in all it’s going better than I could have expected.  I was homesick for a couple of weeks in the beginning but that quickly passed and I have comfortably settled into my new home. I stay connected to loved ones with Skype calls, instant messaging, and social media. Spending two weeks home in July to visit family and friends was the tonic I needed to sustain my deep seated need for  connection to my loved ones.
