Basillica of Bom Jesus in Goa Exterior


Frozen Memories

The inside of this church is much bigger than it looks from the outside sort of like a Tardis. I could not tell if it was still an active church or if it was entirely a museum. One section held paintings and another wood carvings of saints including a carving of Pontius Pilate. I was surprised the Catholics of old would carve a Pilate. Perhaps it was for a scene in the life of Christ.
