Temple Wedding

Frozen Memories

Temple Wedding Temple Wedding

At one of the smaller temples in Madurai, the Lakshmi temple, we happened upon a Hindu wedding. The participants were from Malaysia and came to this temple for their wedding ceremony. I imagine they must have had some roots in this area and ties to this temple to come all the way from Malaysia to Madurai for their wedding ceremony.

I loved the attention to detail in their outfits, especially the brides jewelry and the ornate flower necklaces. All the flowers were real. Too bad we couldn’t make it a double wedding. Irene and I tried to get married near the Taj Mahal earlier on this tour of India excursion but we couldn’t make it work out…at least not unless we were willing to pay US $1,500 for a $50 event.

Love is ever-present within our own Being but we might not feel it until we live in the Now. "Love it Now" was created to share ideas about loving and being present in the here and now. Enjoy!
