Bells are important to the Buddhists. According to traditional belief, the sound of a bell ringing can purify the holy place. So, the bells are one of the sacred objects for Buddhist temples. The Golden Temple in Bangkok, Thailand has two sets of bells. Not being a practicing Buddhist, I did not feel it was appropriate for me to ring them. I did, however, admire the designs and took a few pictures of them with varying exposure lengths and points of focus.
Now, whenever I hear tiny bells tinkle or large bells gong, I think back to the Golden temple, remember walking up the seeming endless steps to the tower, feel the tranquility I felt at the Golden Temple.
