Turkish Contemplation

Frozen Memories

Turkish Contemplation Turkish Contemplation

Irene and I were scouting additional ruins. We reached this one by walking over long shrubbery, walking atop crumbling ancient walls, and skirting a pond. Beside the beauty of the dilapidated and fluted column which I rested against, I was comforted by the silence, the solitude. Yes, one can experience solitude when with someone as long as it’s the right someone, someone that knows when a little space is needed to bask in the recesses of the mind. At these places, I like to sit and contemplate the structure and the lives of those that once inhabited the locale.
