The Healing Powers of Rum Punch

Frozen Memories

Relaxing with my nth Rum Punch Relaxing with my nth Rum Punch

At the end of the 10 hours in the saddle bicycle ride which traversed the Island of Jamaica from North to South coast, we reached Jake’s Place the resort that would be our home for a couple of nights. I dropped my bike and immediately plunged into the pool to cool my overheated body and to soothe my screaming muscles. After a few minutes, I hobbled up to the pool bar and started ordering rum punches to drink while basking in the pool. A bit later, I walked over to the beach, took up a chair, and had another which finished the healing begun in the pool.
