First – Happy Birthday to my future bride!
There are two beautiful buildings adjacent to the Taj Mahal. In their own right, they are gorgeous. However, next to the Taj, they can seem almost ordinary unless one really looks deeply into their souls. They are known as the mosque and the jawab (answer). If the Taj in her white gown is the bride then these buildings are the bridesmaids – beautiful but understated so as not to outshine the bride. In some respects, I find the outer buildings possessing a beauty that eludes the Taj but I am biased for I am partial to the particular hue contained in the red sandstone used in these buildings. The hue reminds me of my beloved Southern Utah – my spiritual home on earth. As the Taj is a tomb for a sultan’s wife, I would like my final resting…
