Going to Kathmandu has never crossed my mind until recently. I’ve heard the city mentioned in a couple of songs but that was the extend of my knowledge of the biggest city in Nepal. With my time in India winding down, I was looking for someplace to visit that had a culturally rich heritage and wasn’t over expensive. Kathmandu happen to fit the bill perfectly and was just close enough that a 5 day weekend would provide ample time to see most of the city’s main attractions.
