During my second visit to the Monkey Temple, there was a very intense and long lasting thunder storm. One with lots of lighting and large drops of rain. For most of the storm, a contingent of people took shelter in the large area below the ceremonial temple. From this vantage point, I was able to watch the rain, admire some of the structures, and watch the people that braved the rain. This elderly monk was one of the brave ones.
