I went to the beach in Koh Samed both mornings I had the pleasure of visiting the Island. Like clockwork, with the first moments of sunrise, these three Buddhist monks made their trek along the beach accepting offerings from the people, giving blessings in return.

I tried to find one of those sweet orange robes to take back to the USA. The color reminds me of fire, of the sky fire at sunrise, the sky fire at sunset. The fire of life that burns deep within each of us. The heart fire that burns for those we hold dearest in our lives.
