Lord Ganesh is a very popular god in Pune, where I currently live, so I have seen him in many forms. He is frequently seen on the dashboard of cars as he is supposed to be good luck. In India, the drivers need much more the good luck to navigate the streets. This is the first time I have seen a Ganesh statue with other images carved around him. Ganesh was a frequent carving on the temples in the Western Group
