Now that I am home from my 18 months living in India, my mind drifts back to the amazing places I visited in Southeast Asia during my many travels. Every destination had it’s own magic, it’s own aura was it’s own stanza in an amazing poem. One of my favorites was Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka for it’s many Buddha statues. Most of them were intact which is amazing considering their age. This was one of four identical Buddha statues placed at each of the four cardinal directions outside a monument.
