Souls Blanket the Heavens

The night is the color of the eyelids of the dead. ~Alejandra Pizarnik

The black night is laden with pinpoint lights as if someone took a scattergun and pierced the darkness, twinkling stars, souls blanketing the heavens radiating their love to the living, to those looking skyward for inspiration, the inspiration to create positive vibes, to create energy lifting minds to new heights.

When the sun appears overpowering, the eyelids close, the pricks of twinkling starlight pierced into the eyelids of the dead, eyelids protecting eyes, eyes that begin to decay the moment we stop breathing, the second our hearts cease beating, the instant we cease to be earthbound and ascend to join the souls blanketing the heavens.
