All the words for country are the same as the words for line. ~Bruce Chatwin
To the aboriginals living in the invaded space known as Australia, Earth is a series of songs sung while walking between points on the land. Not just a song, it is a verbal map guiding them unimagined distances without a physical map or compass. The lines are called song lines. And they must be sung to keep the land alive.
Arrive the Western hordes with their selfish concept of land ownership and the requisite fences creating territories delineated to keep out not us and fence in us.
Much like the US Constitution, the Aussies Constitution of Australia prohibits the Commonwealth from establishing laws which create, force or prohibit any religion. As in America, the freedom is for Christians only, preferential to white people.
The fences, the keep out markers, render the aboriginal religion unworkable. If the aboriginals cannot stay on and sing the songlines during their pilgrimages Earth dies and so to the people of the land. If not physical death, then spiritual death with the hole where the spirit once thrived filled with alcohol.
How would the whites react if the aboriginals boarded up all the churches? My guess is revolt and a further mass extinction of the original, aboriginal inhabitants and the hands of their invaders.
