Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal. ~Albert Camus
Normal is a narrow swath on the bell curve accounting for no more than half of all possible values. It is entirely possible that no one individual is fully aligned with the norm. I have never seen the half child making up the two and one-half children per family. If only half of all people exist in the norm, the half existing outside the norm, all are simultaneously normal and not normal. (This is outside the abnormal norm portrayed in advertisements designed to manipulate weak egos.)
The norm for introverts is nearly opposite the norm for extroverts in which case the norm for the population bell curve is neither. The norm is abnormal for either group.
When all is said and done, the questions remain. Is anyone really normal? Is normal truly the norm?
