After a particular point in a man’s life, his future is invariably in his past. ~Carlos Ruiz Zafón
If my future is in my past, does it follow that my past is my future? Feels like a temporal paradox! Better call the Doctor. I think Carlos meant a person’s past is the foundation of the yet to unfold future such as can be experienced in the nightmare confirmation hearings for the next Supreme Court Justice.
There was a time a powerful man could bury, buy, or bully his past into submission and the gnashing teeth would never sink into the coward’s ass. These days, the #metoo and #blacklivesmatter movements have given wings to the teeth and more assess are being rightly chomped and shredded
I doubt we have reached the tipping point where justice will be served, more often than not, upon harassers and rapists and other human dregs. Still, it is nice to see evil occasionally getting its comeuppance.
