My two halves, body and soul, don’t know if they should separate forever or reunite in a warm embrace of reconciliation. ~Carlos Fuentes
Before I put pen to paper in the pre-dawn sunrise, I sound a set of Tibetan Tingsha cymbals, hammered from seven metals into a single being by Nepalese artisans. The rich sound reverberates, sound imploring my soul to release words onto a blank, unlined page creamy as white clouds. This practice connects my physical and spiritual halves in a unified embrace obliterating the dichotomy of separate existences. My entire self becomes present and is represented in the musings I express.
