The outcome of the battle is unimportant. What matters is the chaos, and the slaughter. ~Neil Gaimman
The more I hear politicians speak the less I believe they are extolling the virtues of their position and the more they are gadflies stoking the masses into chaos in a twisted plan to help them win their war. What war?
The war for power and the illusion of being in control. If it means flimflamming the people then so be it. Deceiving and swindling is the rules of the game played to achieve personal victory no matter the collateral damage.
The vultures incite slaughter then stick their heads into the entrails of the defeated eviscerating them with extreme prejudice inflicting as much humiliation as can be generated. There is no longer grace in victory, no sportsmanship in a contest well contested. The rules of womanly conduct long obliterated all for a chance to bask in the money bandied about by special interest groups profiting off the misery of the electorate.
The body politic is part and parcel of the problem. For they, for we are infected with selfish self-interest willing to sacrifice their fellow beings for victory to receive a larger slice of the pie to feed gluttonous greed, for the illusion of control associated with proximity to the victors. They sycophants have become blind to their place as mere pawns to be sacrificed if it benefits the powerful.
