Silence is the language of the Gods, all else is poor translation. ~Rumi
Steep the mind in silence long enough and all the mysteries of the soul will be revealed. I realized while in silence revealed implies they were always extant but hidden by a shroud only penetrated by prolonged, deep silence, a silence allowing the mind to fold back upon itself until it moves through self-awareness into universal awareness, eventually reaching interconnected awareness, the awareness we label God.
The so-called sacred texts were written by those on the awareness journey but jumped out early believing they discovered God truth. But the journey takes an entire life with the final revelation when facing death. They all stopped short, saw only one face of God mistakingly extrapolating it for the infinite God. The Hindu masters recognize many facets, the monotheists but one.
Islam and Christianity descending from the same Jewish root view God in ways pitting them at odds and stuck in perpetual Jihad, holy wars completely devoid of holy actions with atrocities perpetrated paining the universe to sobbing torment.
And it occurs because the masses fear silence, fear solitude, fear self-awareness, are willing to abdicate their own journey and accept another’s truth as gospel.
