He not busy being born is busy dying. ~Bob Dylan
If I was to identify a method to continue the being born process, I would say to look in the direction of continuous learning. From the moment of birth, the infant is bombarded with stimuli helping it learn, grow, adapt, learn more.
Somewhere, later in life, later for some than others, the learning process, long slowing, virtually stops replaced by ritual adherence and TV slime immersion. Unless one chooses to learn, chooses exposure to new stimuli, first time experiences, books in a new genre, travel to uncomfortable locales…anything challenging the brain forcing it to birth new adaptations. Not so much for survival like the infant but for continual renewal, consistent growth.
To stop learning, then, is a long slow death.
